Adult dancers are very welcome at OIDC! Adult dancers are split into beginner, intermediate and advanced when they join the school. Some adult dancers compete and take grade exams, while others participate in classes for the exercise. Whatever your goal, OIDC is here to support you and to pass on the tradition of Irish dancing.
There is no set dress code for these classes, however we recommend that dancers wear athletic wear similar to what one would wear to the gym. Dancers will require both hard and soft shoes to fully participate in class. Dancers with experience and who compete performing slow speed hardshoe dances, or non-competitive adults who reached the open prize winner level in competition should register for the advanced class. Please send us an email if you have any questions or to see which class best suits your needs.
